After a year of learning art with some friends at Koinonia from a book called Drawing for the Absolute and Utter Beginner, we were challenged to make a still life composition. We had spent several hours per week on just one object but I had not attempted to put several objects in one picture. I was so nervous! It did take me a long time to draw it all, in fact 2 or 3 weeks. But once I got the contour lines drawn in, it was just a matter of learning how to develop each image to the same stage.
